Monsoon season is macro photography season and Amboli is one of our regular destinations to catchup with the variety of reptiles, amphibians and other species that show-up during the torrential rains. We at Wild India Eco Tours visited Amboli last weekend (14-16 July 2017) with a small group of like-minded folks. Apart from the regular Malabar pit vipers, Green vine snakes and gliding frogs, we had some fantastic sightings of Caecilian, Beddome’s keelback, Marbled frog and even witnessed a Cicada giving birth! amazing wilderness of Pench…

Pench National Park has been the latest addition to list of wildlife excursions across India at Wild India Eco Tours. We did our 1st tour to Pench recently (1st weekend of June 2016) and it turned out to be a fantastic trip as the group witnessed some lovely sightings along with good photographic opportunities to capture variety of birds and mammals, including the majestic Bengal Tiger, Wild Dogs (Dholes) and Golden Jackals. It was yet another bird-watching session in Pune outskirts; and again in the arid grassland habitats. Its been around 6-8 months we have been visiting these habitats and we have been pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of wildlife these grasslands have to offer. This time was no different, rather it was our best outing in the grasslands till date as we got blessed by nature to observe the Apex predator of grasslands –  Indian Wolf (Canis lupus pallipes). We missed visiting Kaas last year, hence we were almost certain visiting it this year. We could not join the Wild India Eco Tours trip due to Ganesh Chaturthi but finally managed to visit Kaas on friday, 25th Sep 2015. We (Me, Sandip, Shraddha & Remya) had planned to start by 5 AM but a flat tyre right at start ensured we dirtied our hands right in the beginning of the trip and finally the journey began at 5:45 AM.
